My name is Melinda Cheah. I became physically disabled at the age of 3 after a round of high fever due to Poliomyelitis. The sickness has crippled my left arm and right leg. As a result of my disability, I have only managed to strive through secondary school and one year (part-time) in college. I have not been able to attend regular courses at institutions of higher learning, mainly due to inaccessibility and lack of transportation.

Accessible Web Design Course provided by DANISHKADAH is indeed a golden opportunity for me to improve my knowledge especially in IT. Through the sincere guidance, diligent efforts and constant words of encouragement of my course instructor Mr Akram Muhammad who is the Founder and Chairman of DANISHKADAH, I have gained a good knowledge on how to create a proper web page that comply to W3C standard and to upload it.

The course being online is very suitable for me as I am able to learn from the comfort of my home and at flexible hours too. I am indeed very grateful to DANISHKADAH for offering the course to me, FREE.

I hope more organizations will follow this noble cause and there will be many more such opportunities so that disabled person like me can keep improving with time; and also to be able to work from home and be financially independent.

The web site which I have created is for Hope Special Children Centre, a non-profit organization for children with special needs, where I volunteer for administrative works.

Thank you and God Bless.

Sincerely,
Melinda Cheah

Every Web designer should take this course; it's incredible to see how much money is spent in sophisticated Web sites that are totally inaccessible to people with disabilities; I believe it's important to understand how to make accessible Web sites, because they represent an advantage to all people, regardless of ability.
