Activites:

1. Capacity building:

this comprises of leadership skills training of the Association executives comminute, sub – county executives who in turn mentor the deaf at grassroots level, it also looks at the skills of the deaf who under went vocational training by establishing the projects that suit such skills.

2. Networking and collaboration:

This program put emphases on ensuring that issues of the deaf with In the district cut across all sectors at the district. E.g. agriculture, health education. This is done by networking with Wakiso district union of persons with Disabilities District local council v and Wakiso district council for Disability. Through the same programs WDAD seeks to collaborate with all CBOS in the distinct by attending various workshops organized by the central government or non government organizations at National level. In the same program at small scale. WDAD Advocates and lobby to influence polices at the district level, sub– county. Municipality district and town councils.

3. Resource Mobilization:

this program looks at human , material, and financial resources.

4. Human Resources :

This is aimed at involving those people that can help to intensity WDAD’S fundraising drives. It also helps to develop members’ skills in fundraising. In that WDAD involves technical staff at the district headquarters And the mother association UNAD that render technical support to boost the activities of the association.

5. Financial Resources:

This aims at raising finance it involves training members in proposal WRITING AND OTHER FORMS OF FUNDRAISING, NEGOTIATING with donors and maintaining relationship with donors. It also prepares the executive to effectively monitor the usage of funds by training them in financial skills.
